Ouija Movie

The infamous Ouija board games are popular all over the world. More than one has been seduced by the game’s creepy goal, to contact dead people’s spiritis. These games, however, are far from harmless, as very creepy incidents have happened surrounding this game. I try to keep away from it as far as human possible, got enough problems in my life without adding spirits from beyond the rift haunting me just because the other world is too boring for them. With such a creepy backstory one would think that a horror movie based on this would be a success. Far from it.

The movie begins with the mysterious death of long time childhood friend of  group of kids. Everyone is shocked by recent events since the girl that died used to be so cheerful. Her friends try to make sense out of her death and are looking for some answers, and here is when the Ouija board comes into play. They try to use it to contact her to get some answers and finally move on with their lifes, what they discover, however, has the opposite effect. The kids become hunted by a malignant force bent on killing each one.

The scare factor from the movie comes mainly from well placed jump scares, but that is about it. No good horror movie can exist based on a manufactured product.
