The Sixth Cross-Strait Film Festival starts in May 31 until June 4, in which some popular Chinese movies and cinema d’ auteur films will be presented. The festival will include seven Chinese movies released this year and that theTaiwanese audience has not watched yet, according to the festival organizers.
This festival will take place at the Huashan 1914 Creative Park’s Spot Cinema only for five days. So, it is a big chance for Chinese people to go and appreciate their home made cinema, especially their home made cinema d’ auteur.
The seven films are Where are we going dad?, which is a documentary about a popular Chinese TV reality show. This film was very popular among Chinese population during the first months of this year.
Other films are romantic comedies such as Ex-Files and Up in the Wind. A romance-drama, Beijing Love Story, will be also screened. In addition, there is a crime movie called Police Diary and a drama known as Forever Young, based on teenager lifestyles and choices. To conclude, the last movie that will be presented is Dancing in the Room, which is about Chinese youth and their decision to leave their town and go to the city to work.
